" I believe youth are the most powerful catalysts for change when given the tools, knowledge, and opportunity to lead. The Millennium Fellowship will allow me to target more communities with youth-led initiatives, expanding impact and advancing environmental justice through grassroots action and civic engagement. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: NexaYouth: Youth for Change

NexaYouth is a youth-led empowerment program that gives young people a platform to learn, lead, and make an impact in their communities. The project provides students with structured opportunities to explore current events, environmental issues, and public policy while developing skills in research, communication, and community engagement. Through weekly workshops, guided activities, and collaborative projects, NexaYouth helps youth understand how global challenges connect to their lives and supports them in creating initiatives that reflect their interests and values. The goal is to give youth the tools, confidence, and space they need to actively shape change rather than wait for it.
