United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Giinius
This project focused on disseminating educational resources and a connectivity tool to students, schools, and organizations in New York City to facilitate conversations about individuality, entrepreneurship, and creativity. Targeting students across the city, the initiative created spaces for learners to explore educational opportunities tailored to their unique goals.
About the Millennium Fellow
Shiven Jain is nineteen years old, about to begin his sophomore year at Columbia University in the City of New York. He plans to double major in political economics and sustainable development, driven by his passion for bolstering betterment and growth for all of humanity. Throughout high school, he would say that his career goal was to work for the United Nations, and working toward the goal of collaborating with driven, innovative, and devoted people from around the world has kept him keen on striving toward change. He cannot wait to work with his cohort to perpetuate progress, and he hopes to meet everyone soon.
