Millennium Fellowship Project: From Margin to Mainstream; Empowering Communities
The cohort project “From Margin to Mainstream: Empowering Communities” is our commitment to uplifting society, which continues to suffer from deep-rooted inequalities and limited opportunities, by focusing our efforts on empowering young girls and women, as we recognize the critical role women play in the progress of societies and nations. The project addresses multiple aspects of well-being, covering women’s health, education, financial independence, and mental wellness. Unlike one-off drives, this initiative extends beyond the fellowship program, envisioned as a movement carrying forward the vision of a more just and empowered society.
Our project operates under three key pillars and extends to both privileged and underprivileged communities, including campuses, orphanages, and slum areas. Sehat (Health & Well-being) addresses the often-neglected physical, mental, and social health of women through workshops and webinars on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, HPV awareness, and mental wellness, along with sanitary kit distributions and medical partnerships. Hunar (Skills & Livelihood) equips women with IT literacy, vocational training for income generation, enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods and reduce reliance on unsafe or exploitative work. Iqtesaad (Financial Inclusion Initiatives) promotes financial literacy through workshops and webinars on budgeting, savings, and micro-investments.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), we plan to organize at least five thematic sessions (delivered as webinars or workshops, depending on context) on health, skills, finance, and mental well-being. The project will distribute 100+ sanitary kits, equip 50+ women and students with digital and financial literacy, and directly impact over 200 women and children. Additionally, we will establish a dedicated social media presence to document activities, share toolkits, and spread awareness, engaging over 300+ individuals as part of a digital support community.
