Millennium Fellowship Project: OFF-LINE
OFF-LINE is a student-led initiative designed to help students disconnect from constant digital stimulation and reconnect with themselves, their peers, and their environment. The project provides intentional spaces, activities, and conversations that encourage real-life interaction, mindfulness, and community building within the school environment.
In a world where students are increasingly overwhelmed by notifications, academic pressure, and online expectations, OFF-LINE serves as a refreshing pause—a place where people can breathe, reset, and genuinely engage. Through weekly interactive sessions, themed recess events, group activities, and open conversations, OFF-LINE promotes mental clarity, creativity, friendship, and personal growth.
The project aims to build a supportive community that values presence over pressure. Whether through games, discussions, wellness activities, or collaborative problem-solving, OFF-LINE helps students form authentic connections and enjoy the simple joy of being present. Ultimately, OFF-LINE encourages a healthier balance between online and offline life, empowering students to show up as their best selves every day.
About the Millennium Fellow
Efosa Uyi-Okungbowa is a curious and creative architecture student at Covenant University, Ota. Born and raised in Nigeria, she has never been outside West Africa, yet she carries a deep fascination for the world and an eagerness to learn about different cultures, places, and perspectives.
For Efosa, architecture is more than designing buildings, it’s about people, connections, and creating spaces that inspire, uplift, and serve a greater purpose. Her passion for sustainability and social prosperity has been shaped by her experiences in the construction industry, where she witnessed firsthand how design can strengthen communities and build relationships.
From her secondary school years to her time at university, Efosa has been a natural leader among creatives, guiding teams, encouraging growth, and driving projects that make a difference.
She envisions a lasting career in architecture crafting meaningful designs, building relationships across the globe, and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals in ways that are impactful, practical, and lasting.
