Millennium Fellowship Project: OUR ENVIRONMENT, OUR RESPONSIBILITY
My project is based on writing environmental books from kindergarten level to tertiary education level for teaching the next upcoming generations on the importance of taking care of the environment by promoting environmental literacy and bridging knowledge gaps using books as a tool. I have written the books called OUR ENVIRONMENT, OUR RESPONSIBILITY, in conjunction with its parents/teachers' guide aside and some eco-friendly pencils which will be used to convey this information which entails scopes of environmental management ,conservation and policy strategies, inspiring young people to take action and become responsible towards the environment, making our spaces habitable.
What inspired me to have this project is an empath map that I come from a community which does not consider environmental stewardship vital. Adults and youth have ailed mannered traits unintentionally of negative exploitation to the environmental goods and services like contamination of rivers for instance cleaning equipment along riverbeds like machinery moreover littering rivers and road reserves creating landfills. Such
behavior observed by kids intimidates younger generation to continue with these traits as observed from the elder persons.
