Millennium Fellowship Project: Breaking the Chains against Drug Abuse
Breaking the Chains: Youth Against Drug Abuse is a youth-led initiative focused on addressing drug abuse and supporting individuals affected by addiction. The project targets drug addicts creating tangible community impact by building a strong network of collaborators, empowering students with new skills, and increasing awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals on campus. Strong team collaboration and consistent support from the campus and local community played a key role in the project’s success.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mercy Wanjiku is a passionate student pursuing Bachelor's of Commerce at The Cooperative University of Kenya.She is passionate about leadership, social impact and community development.As part of the Millennium Campus Net,she has engaged on a project which she anticipate it will change lives of the victims.Her project promotes Sustainable Development and Youth Empowerment.She hopes to use her skills and experience to drive positive change within her community and beyond.
