" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to transform ideas into meaningful action, connect with like-minded change makers from around the world, and amplify efforts towards building a more equitable and inclusive society. It is a chance to learn, collaborate, and contribute to solutions that create lasting impact. I feel I can finally channel my energy in an impactful manner. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Jan Chetna

We, the Fellowship Cohort of the class of 2025, from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University have decided on a common project considering India's upcoming Independence Day on the 15th of August. Our college is based in a rural area which has a school in the nearby village. Our aim is to execute our project in a three-pronged approach: 1. We aim to create a "Adhikaar Diwar" or a Rights Wall in the School. This wall, will feature numerous well-researched and curated topical pamphlets on areas such as Basic Legal rights, women's hygiene, topics of civic awareness etc. 2. For eight weeks, on thursdays (Adhikaar Guruvaar) the eight members of the cohort will individually share a topic closest to their heart with the students and members of the local community. At the end of each session, we will hold a short feedback round to accurately assess our impact while the project is ongoing and address relevant lacunae, if any in our communication. 3. Later, we aim to conclude using a short quiz on all the topics that we cover during those eight weeks, (Pamphlets of which will be on the "Adhikaar Diwar" wall in English and Hindi). We will then proceed with a short felicitation ceremony for the winners of the quiz.
