" "Access to a broader platform, diverse resources, and richer perspectives means I can tackle the increasingly complex challenges faced by education in a changing society. As a Millennium Fellow, I am excited to collaborate with change makers from around the world, learning new ways to create lasting impact and make educational opportunities more inclusive and equitable for all." Millennium Fellowship Project: Anhui Xuying Primary School English Teaching Program

I led a team of over ten people to run an online English teaching project for third-grade students at Xuying Primary School, a rural school in Anhui. We designed the whole teaching program ourselves—from planning the lessons and teaching live classes, to assigning homework and giving students personalized feedback. We focused on making our classes fun and interactive so the kids could enjoy learning and feel more confident using English. A big part of our approach was using stories, games, and real-life topics they could relate to. In spring 2025, we were lucky to have to chance to visit these children in person. That trip helped us understand the students’ learning environment more deeply and made our relationship with the school much stronger.
