I will firmly seize this opportunity to hone my skills and empower my projects, thus bringing more tangible positive impacts to communities and schools. At the same time, I will strictly adhere to the principles of the United Nations Academic Impact and align with the Sustainable Development Goals. I am full of anticipation for enhancing my foresight by envisioning new ways of learning and creating. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: REACH

Our project gives new life to idle items while supporting a more inclusive and equal community. In partnership with BUY42—a charity chain where over half the employees are people with disabilities— we are currently conducting two major events. First is collecting second-hand goods from students, check their quality, and transport them to BUY42 stores or open up flea shop in our campus. This not only promotes sustainability by reducing waste but also raises funds to support the employment and welfare of people with disabilities. Secondly, to build deeper understanding, we created a “One-day Store Manager” program. Students volunteer at BUY42 stores in Shanghai, working alongside staff with disabilities. It’s a hands-on way to learn about inclusive workplaces, grow empathy, and see the impact of small, thoughtful actions. In the future, we hope to do even more—organizing awareness campaigns, community outreach, and talks by organizations that support people with disabilities. Our goal is to create a stronger culture of equality and understanding on campus and beyond. Through simple actions like donating, volunteering, or just listening, we’re building a project that’s sustainable, meaningful, and rooted in mutual respect.
