Dedan Kimathi University of Technology | Nyeri, Kenya | Advancing SDG 1, SDG 8 & UNAI 3

" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the chance to learn, grow and collaborate with others who want to make a difference, like I do. I do the work I do because I believe small actions can bring real change. I want to use my efforts to support my community "
Millennium Fellowship Project: FinAlly
FinAlly is a solo-led initiative to design an AI-powered mobile application focused on promoting financial resilience among university students. The project aligns with SDG 1 and SDG 8 by offering a localized, intelligent budgeting tool. It targets campus students and young individuals who are financially illiterate. During the Millennium Fellowship, I completed 100 percent of the strategic planning, UI prototyping, and AI logic design. I also exceeded the validation goal by conducting five focus groups, with most participants confirming that the proposed features would boost their financial confidence.
