Millennium Fellowship Project: The Change Framework
The Change Framework is a social impact initiative designed to support SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth, with a focus on creating fair, inclusive and supportive work environments for individuals who struggle to balance professional responsibilities with personal or family duties.
Inspired by the real-life challenges faced by working women-especially mothers-the project highlights how many individuals are forced to pause or abandon their careers due to rigid workplace policies, lack of childcare support, unsafe or stressful commutes and traditional family expectations. These silent struggles often limit economic participation and hinder long-term career growth.
The Change Framework aims to address these systemic barriers by promoting:
Flexible and empathetic workplace policies
Affordable childcare and caregiving infrastructure
Supportive government interventions for private-sector employees
Awareness within communities and families about shared responsibilities
Through storytelling, advocacy and awareness campaigns, the project encourages organizations, policymakers and communities to rethink how work and life can coexist harmoniously. It emphasizes human-centered progress, where economic growth goes hand-in-hand with personal well being, equal opportunities and the freedom to dream without compromise.
Ultimately, The Change Framework envisions a world where no one has to choose between their career and their responsibilities - a world where every person can grow, thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
