" Empathy and determination, guided by a commitment to social well-being, drive my initiatives and my work. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will allow me to strengthen these qualities through meaningful collaboration. The insights and skills I gain from the Fellowship will help make my efforts in mental health advocacy and overall community welfare more impactful and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am eager to expand my capacity to design inclusive solutions and foster environments where every individual has access to the resources they need to thrive. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Milan
Project Milan is a sustainability-driven initiative focused on promoting aquaponics, an innovative farming method that combines fish and plant cultivation in a closed-loop system while using significantly less water than traditional agriculture. The project aims to enhance food security, reduce resource consumption, and foster environmental awareness through practical demonstrations, affordable DIY kits, and hands-on educational workshops. Between August and December 2025, the initiative will work on establishing functional aquaponics units within the DTU campus, conducting regular educational sessions for students and community members, distributing DIY aquaponics kits to households, cafés, and small businesses, achieving measurable reductions in water usage at pilot sites, and building partnerships with local organizations and businesses to expand its reach. Progress will be tracked by the number of installations completed, workshops delivered, community members engaged, and the percentage decrease in water consumption recorded at operational sites.
