" I believe change begins at the intersection of empathy and action. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I am excited to strengthen my leadership, collaboration, and project management skills, which will help me design sustainable solutions for social challenges. I hope to use these skills to expand my initiatives, create inclusive spaces, and inspire others to transform awareness into lasting change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Ruhaniyat
Project Ruhaniyat is a social initiative I co-founded in 2024 which is aimed at raising awareness about menstrual health especially amongst underprivileged communities. Our goal is to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and ensure that everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to necessary menstrual health products. We have partnered with Pinkishe foundation, to train our volunteers and provide us with menstrual health kits which we can distribute through our drives. The idea is not just to provide physical products but to educate girls and women and liberate them to lead a life with dignity. Through this project we want to make a real impact on how menstrual health is viewed in India, where it is often considered a taboo. We want to make sure that no girl misses school and no women has to stop working just because they don't have access to the right menstrual health products. It's about making sure that females can live a life with dignity and not excluded from the society just because they are biologically different from men. We strive to create a future where menstruation is no longer a barrier to equality, opportunity, but a part of life that is supported.
