" I wish someone had guided me earlier, this line hovers in my mind whenever I sense a missed opportunity because of lack of guidance or knowledge, and i don't want anyone else to go through the same and that's why I want other people to receive quality education and become best in their fields "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Arth

"Arth" is a Hindi word which means "purpose" or "wealth". Project Arth aims at developing financial literacy and fiscal responsibility among students (9th-12th graders) and women. Under this we take the initiative to educate students, everything about money, ranging from managing personal finances, budgeting, investing, loans to general finance concepts like private equity, venture capital, investment banking etc. We have taken sessions in school where we try to make the session interactive by taking real life examples of banks and companies, and engage the audience through quizzes on common finance questions. Being an economics student I have closely observed how unaware people are about fundamental finance concepts ,and due to this, scammers and fraudster are taking advantage of the general public to exploit them. The reason behind focusing on students and women is because educating students is a good way to pass on the information to the Households since they are fundamental member of the families, and for women the reason lies in their limited exposure to the outside world, since most of them are housewives. Empowering them with financial literacy helps bridge this gap and fosters economic independence.
