" As Mahatma Gandhi said, ‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.’ My work through Project Nouran is a reflection of this belief — a commitment to tackling hunger, improving access to quality education, and fostering well-being for underserved communities in Northern India. I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to amplify these efforts, collaborate with change makers across the globe, and translate empathy into lasting, data-driven solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Nouran

Project Nouran is a social impact initiative addressing the interconnected challenges of hunger, health, and education among underprivileged communities in Northern India, particularly in Agra and Delhi. The project began as grassroots efforts involving food drives and educational support and has now evolved into a policy-oriented framework designed for sustainable, systemic change.
The initiative’s primary goal is to develop a comprehensive white paper and community implementation guide that NGOs, student organizations, and local communities can adopt to achieve SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 4 (Quality Education). By integrating insights from development economics and behavioral psychology, Project Nouran promotes evidence-based policymaking, empathy-driven leadership, and active community participation.
Key activities include:
1. Community Observation and Mapping: Identifying gaps in nutrition, health awareness, and education quality among low-income families.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Consulting NGOs, student volunteers, and local food distribution networks to understand challenges and opportunities.
3. Framework Development: Designing a replicable model that combines economic efficiency, behavioral motivation, and policy alignment.
4. Documentation and White Paper Drafting: Compiling findings into a structured guide for community and institutional use.
Impact:
Project Nouran provides a scalable, knowledge-based tool that empowers communities and policymakers to implement localized, sustainable solutions. It also fosters youth engagement, collaborative leadership, and systemic thinking, transforming temporary aid initiatives into long-term, impactful interventions.
