Millennium Fellowship Project: VERDA.SPROUT.KIT
University life is full of stress, deadlines, and constant pressure. In the middle of this fast-paced environment, students often forget to pause and connect with something simple, grounding, and life-giving. While many awareness campaigns talk about planting trees or handing out seed packets, the truth is that most of these seeds are forgotten, left unused, or fail to grow because students don’t have the proper resources, soil, or guidance. I saw this gap and asked myself: What if we could make growing plants so simple, fun, and engaging that every student could succeed? That is where “VERDA.SPROUT.KIT” comes. Instead of just giving away seeds, I am providing students with a complete plant-growing kit. This way, there are no barriers, no need to buy soil, no confusion about “what to do next,” and no excuses to let the seeds go to waste. Every student can become a caretaker of a living plant right from their desk or dorm room. By making it easy and accessible, and by encouraging students to share updates, photos, and experiences, the project creates a network on campus where students motivate one another. In this way, plants become not just personal companions, but also bridges for community connection.
By December 2025, I aim to:
Distribute 10–15 grow kits to students on campus.
Achieve a 70% plant survival rate (measured by students sharing pictures/updates).
Build a campus green community where students engage in sharing plant progress online/offline.
Raise awareness on 4 SDGs (Health, Climate Action, Sustainable Communities).
