" I believe lasting change begins with compassion in action. The Millennium Fellowship will empower me to expand my efforts to support underprivileged and homeless communities, turning local solutions into sustainable global impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Lives Beyond Survival

Our project is dedicated to supporting underprivileged and homeless families by addressing both their basic needs and their long-term empowerment. We aim to provide food and clothing relief, ensuring that they have access to nutritious meals and warm clothes, especially during the winter. Beyond relief, we are committed to teaching practical skills in recycling and upcycling, enabling participants to transform waste materials into useful products that can be sold for income. Alongside this, we wish to raise awareness about basic human rights and share practical guidelines for maintaining a balanced diet within a small budget, helping families move toward healthier and more self-sufficient lives. Between August and December 2025, our measurable goals include cooking and serving through community kitchen days (once a month) and collecting and distributing over 100 pieces of clothing to families in need. We aim to train at least 15 individuals in recycling and upcycling skills, empowering them with sustainable income opportunities. To recognize their efforts, we wish to organize at least one product exhibition or sales event to showcase and sell items crafted by the participants. Additionally, we will host two or more awareness workshops focused on human rights and affordable nutrition. Finally, to ensure broad community involvement, we will engage at least 20 student volunteers in cooking, training and awareness activities, building a strong bridge of solidarity in the community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Dibbo Nath is a Computer Science and Engineering student at East Delta University, born and raised in Chattogram City. Growing up, he saw firsthand how inequality can shape lives, which sparked his passion for helping others. Dibbo is actively involved in several community organizations, where he volunteers his time and skills. His current project works with local groups to provide food, shelter, and education for underprivileged and homeless families, especially children. Dibbo aspires to bring about long-lasting change and construct a more compassionate, equitable world, beginning in his own community, under the guidance of empathy and the belief in equal opportunity.
