Millennium Fellowship Project: From Man to Mangrove
From men to mangrove is a project dedicated in raising awareness about the blue carbon and how important the mangrove conservation is. Bangladesh is home to the sundarban the world's largest mangrove forest. This project highlights the crucial role of mangrove sea grasses and salt marshes in climate change weakening. These plants can store up to five times more carbon dioxide than tropical rainforest a type of carbon known as blue-carbon. To spread awareness, the project will organise seminars at universities and schools. Each session will conclude with the survey to access the participants understanding of blue carbon and share their perspectives too. Based on the responses, we will invite them to work as volunteers while collaborating with NGOs to restore mangrove. By merging education with action, this project seeks to inspire youths to protect the coastal ecosystem and contribute to a more sustainable future by spreading awareness through campaigns and practically to plant such plants too.
