United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Drug and Substance Abuse Sensitization

This project focuses on drug and substance abuse sensitization among university students. It entails educating students on the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse through online webinars, social media engagement, and discussions. As part of the initiative, two online webinars were conducted where students were addressed on issues related to drug and substance abuse, and counterparts were invited to speak on matters of mental health.

About the Millennium Fellow

Emmanuel Nareng, is a brilliant and ambitious Bsc. Clinical Medicine final year student at Egerton University. He was born in Baragoi, Samburu North Samburu County. From his high school days he has been a focused and devoted leader and currently a leader at the Egerton University Clinical Medicine Students body. He has much ambitions on youth education and empowerment. He has taken part in various community activities through volunteering in community development activities. He hopes to be a champion of community development throughout his career and professional life as a healthworker.
