United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Not Simps for Drugs

Not Simps for Drugs is a youth-led initiative dedicated to raising awareness about drug abuse and promoting mental health among young people. The project creates safe spaces for open conversations, fun activities, and peer support to help youths cope with emotional, social, and financial challenges in healthier ways. Through interactive discussions and creative outreach, we aim to empower our generation to make informed choices and live drug-free lives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Winny Munei Chepngetich, born and raised in Kenya, is a sociology student passionate about social justice, gender equality, and educational empowerment. She has actively participated in youth leadership forums, advocacy projects, and community initiatives, including research on reintegrating school dropouts and equipping them with skills for a better future. Through her leadership and dedication to sustainable development, she aims to influence policy, strengthen community resilience, and advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, making a lasting impact locally and globally.
