United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

The Millennium Fellowship will enhance me the standard and knowledge shared by other fellows and tutors in community based programs and projects. I will fully utilize this opportunity to improve ony capabilities ensuring I work towards and in accordance with the US sustainable development goals "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Voices United for Change-VUC Catalyst for Change
The comprehensive program tackles real world challenges while promoting equal participation and inclusive benefits for all students and especially the less privileged pupils and students:
Gender Equality and Respect
By promoting a healthy relationship, mutual respect between genders, and moreover Zero tolerance for harassment and discrimination.
Youth Empowerment.
The project will provide Leadership training and personal development program for all pupils and students and beneficiaries.
Climate Actions
The project will implement hands-on environmental growth through tree planting and recycling programs
Development and Responsibilities
Academic career development.
Mentorships and Career guidance tailored for both boys and girls
Drugs abuse prevention
Academic sessions on making informed, and healthy life choices.
Civic Education
Fostering responsible citizenship and active community involvement.
The project will cover Anti-Corruption Advocacy:
instilling values of integrity and accountability in young leaders.

About the Millennium Fellow
John Maada Foday-Bindi is a smart, hardworking and dynamic young man. He was born in a small village in Sierra Leone known as Blama(Small-Bo) Eastern region . He is presently a Final Year-4 student at the Department of Economics and Commerce pursuing a Bachelor degree in Economics in the capital of Sierra Leone (Freetown). He's committed to helping the less privileged background students and pupils (students that find it difficult in paying their extra charges and mentorship programs). His impact as a volunteer in a foundation that caters for less privileged pupils has created standard and have helped so many pupils. He engaged in community based volunteer work ensuring these less privileged pupils get access to quality education and more discuss topics like Drug Abuse, Gender Equality and Career Development among youths and in schools ensuring towards the US sustainable development goals.
