Millennium Fellowship Project: The Open Book Initiative

The Open Book Initiative is focused on improving reading culture and literacy among children aged 6–14. Through storytelling, book donations, reading sessions, and literacy games, we aim to make reading fun and accessible, especially for children in underserved communities.
During the Millennium Fellowship, the Open Book Initiative reached 18 pupils from Classes 3, 4, and 5, with the aim of promoting literacy and encouraging a love for reading. The project involved visiting the school, engaging with the pupils, and donating essential learning materials including storybooks, exercise books, pens, chalk, and snacks. One of the key successes was the positive response from the pupils and support from the school, which made the visit impactful.
