" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to expand my impact, collaborate with like-minded change makers, and bring creative solutions to real-life challenges. My work; whether in prosthetics, photography, or storytelling, stems from a deep commitment to restoring dignity, raising awareness, and inspiring action for those facing harsh realities. This fellowship is not just an opportunity to grow; it’s a chance to amplify voices often unheard and create meaningful, lasting change.
Thank you. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Through the Lens.

In line with my passion for photography,I intend to embark on a project. This project will involve assessing, capturing and recording the everyday life of university students; the real, unmasked moments like: early morning rushes to class, late night study, hostel leisures, sports, overwhelming moments, states of numbness, cut in between school and side hustles and down to even struggling to stay awake in a boring lecture. Students are told to pay for safety but barely get one and there a situations like having Dean of Students affairs, yet students opinions are counted void. I intend to tell our stories through pictures, the true stories, not just crafted graduation photos and school events. My lens will capture those moments that make up our full experiences; from the stress to the happy moments, the friendships, and the not so big wins. I have been creating the perfect picture of my project in mind knowing that it will certainly be achieved and voices will be heard and favored. I am still learning and improving, especially in editing and framing the iconic shots for this project to achieve. My purpose is to make sure students are seen, heard and fought for. Thank you for reading through.
