Self development is the fuel that keeps me going and now that I am a millennium development fellow, it will help me make sustainable impact on the society whilst developing myself in many ways than one, to say I am happy is to say the least, I am beyond thrilled to be selected for this noble fellowship. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Shun drugs fight addiction
The project is focused on fighting addiction of nicotinic products and hard drug to help improve the overall quality of their lives, help reduces chance of Cancer which is caused by cigarette. During the course of this project, we were able to start the addiction recovery journey of 15 patients, rehabilitating them and helping them find a community to which they would love to belong, it hasn't been totally successful as they have been relapses but some of the addicts have been able to go weeks without taking all sort of cigarettes and other nicotinic products, paid for sports coaching of some addicts so they are able to find something and do something that interest them which they derive joy from, sone was beyond our scope and we were able to connect them to rehabilitation center with certified medical personnels.
About the Millennium Fellow
Adeojo kehinde Margaret is a pharmacy student at the federal university oye ekiti, born in a Ado Ekiti. A place filled with smokers who have surrendered their lives to constant smoking which deteriorate their body and threaten their future wellbeing, she is very passionate and intentional about helping smokers to regain themselves and reclaim their future from the hands of the monster wrapped in white paper . Kehinde Margaret belongs to different society and has volunteered for different programs aimed at creating awareness about the dangers of the monstrous yet friendly and accessible beast. Kehinde has been a voice championing against the cigarette and all sorts of things people smoke.
Kehinde aspires to be an oncology pharmacist in the nearest future has she believes impact is one patient at a time. Lastly, kehinde will undoubtedly do great things and contribute well to the society and the team at large.
