" My passion is to create solutions that improve lives and encourage open and supportive communities, as I believe that empathy in action holds the potential to create more resilient individuals and stronger communities. The Millennium Fellowship offers the opportunity to refine my ideas, collaborate with change makers, and align my work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I am excited to deepen my skills in shaping ideas into action that fosters resilience and promotes lasting impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: BRAVE MINDS CIRCLE
Brave Minds Circle is a student-led mental health support initiative created to provide safe, judgment-free spaces for students to connect, reflect, and build emotional resilience. On my campus, at least two students attempt suicide each year, highlighting the urgent need for mental health support. This project aims to address that need by offering peer-led support circles where students can share experiences, express themselves creatively, and receive affirmation and encouragement. For those not ready to speak openly, Brave Minds Circle offers anonymous ways to participate, such as “Letter Walls†and journal prompts. The project will also launch a mental health awareness campaign to educate students, reduce stigma, and provide access to resources. Through this initiative, students will build confidence, peer support systems, and tools for emotional well-being, contributing to a healthier, more connected campus. Brave Minds Circle aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, and with the support of the Millennium Fellowship, I aim to expand this project into a sustainable, empowering movement that brings healing and hope to the campus community.
