" People say, if you want to go fast, walk alone but if you want to go far, walk together. I believe with my skill and the collaborative effort of every other Millennium Fellow there is so much we can do to create the change that we would like to see in the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Poster for Change

Poster for Change is a climate education initiative designed to raise awareness on proper waste management and environmental sustainability in rural communities. The project creates visually engaging posters in simple language and culturally relevant illustrations—placed in primary school classrooms. Children are naturally curious and eager to share what they learn, making them powerful agents of change. By teaching them the importance of proper waste disposal, recycling, and environmental care, we indirectly influence their parents and households.
The posters serve as constant visual reminders, bringing up daily discussions among students and guiding their habits. When children take these lessons home, they encourage their families to adopt better waste practices. Through this child-to-home ripple effect, Poster for Change uses education as a tool to shift community behavior and build a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
