Millennium Fellowship Project: Hygiene for Better Health

This project promotes hygiene and environmental cleanliness through a one-day community outreach. The team will clean key areas of the community, engage shop owners and households with brief talks on personal hygiene, safe waste disposal, and the health benefits of a clean environment. To support practical action, sanitizers and soaps will be distributed to at least 50 shops and households. The sensitization will also highlight how good hygiene reduces infections and helps prevent antimicrobial resistance (AMR), combining direct action with education for lasting impact.
Project Goal
By the conclusion of the campaign, the project aims to have directly reached at least 100 community members through sensitization efforts conducted during the outreach. Additionally, at least 50 shops and households will receive sanitizers and soaps to promote sustained hygiene practices. The project will leave behind a visible improvement in the community environment while equipping individuals with practical knowledge and resources to maintain hygiene, thereby contributing to healthier living conditions and reducing the risk of preventable diseases.
