Federal University of Technology Minna | Minna, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3, SDG 6 & UNAI 3

" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a global platform to connect with like-minded young leaders, refine my leadership skills, and amplify the impact of my project in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Fellowship’s community, mentorship, and structured curriculum will help me translate my ideas into measurable outcomes, scale my initiatives, and learn from diverse perspectives around the world.
And as a Chemical Engineering student passionate about environmental sustainability, community development, and gender equality, I see the SDGs as a shared blueprint for a better future. I focus my efforts on creating solutions that improve quality of life while preserving our planet—whether through promoting clean energy, fostering inclusive opportunities, or raising awareness on climate action. My drive comes from knowing that small, consistent actions can inspire collective transformation. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Hygiene for Better Health
The project was targeted at the market. The market is usually left unclean and unhealthy so we took it upon ourselves to do a thoroughly. We also educated the market people on the importance of keeping our environment clean for better health.
Our project successfully raised awareness on cleanliness, hygiene practices, and their importance to personal and community health. We reached out to students and market women, educating them on the need to maintain a clean environment to prevent diseases and promote overall well-being. The participants showed great enthusiasm and shared how they planned to apply what they learned.
