" I am passionate about doing whatever I can to help my community and the Millennium Fellowship will be pivotal in helping me enact my goals. I am excited to be part of team of young leaders who I can collaborate with, brainstorm with, and can help me implement social impact projects that I would not be able to pull off on my own. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthcare's Helping Hands
Healthcare's Helping Hands aims to improve the hospital environment for healthcare workers in a hospital in Ilesa Osun State in Nigeria. The project specifically honed in on providing reusable scrub shoes for the general surgery department of the hospital. We partnered with an on campus organizations for a bake sale fundraiser and used the funds to acquire materials that would improve the quality of healthcare provision that are long lasting and do not require maintenance (e.g scrub shoes).
