" The impact of change is amplified when ignited by the collective strength, vision, and support of a community. I am excited to join the Millennium Fellowship Cohort, where I can bring my passion for advocacy and change to a group of individuals equally, if not more, dedicated to achieving the world’s Sustainable Development Goals. I aspire to collaborate, learn, and lead alongside my peers to create meaningful, lasting impact in communities across the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Redefining Sex Education, Amplifying Health Literacy

Redefining Sex Education, Amplifying Health Literacy is a policy based project aimed at expanding the sex education curriculum for middle and high schoolers in Georgia. A lack of comprehensive education in secondary sex education programs plays a significant role in exacerbating negatuve health outcomes. This project focuses on partnering with local school districts to modify local curriculums to include age-appropriate information on contraceptives, healthy relationships, sexual assault, conscent as well as abstinence. In the long term, the primary goal is to reform the state policy regarding secondary sex education by mobilizing state legislators during Congress. By amplifying access to reproductive health literacy, this project aims to improve health outcomes and safety for teens in Georgia.
