Millennium Fellowship Project: INFORMED SOCIETY for GLOBAL COOPERATION

The main aim of this idea " Informed Society for Global Cooperation" is to create awareness regarding existing global institutions and mechanisms that help promote global cooperation. The idea's primary objective would be to create informed citizens who know about the existing global institutions and mechanisms to aid them and other countries, by doing so the global cooperation and the feeling of oneness can increase. These efforts can promote global cooperation especially when people the basic and important block of any nation that is the society is willing to cooperate globally. Societies can aid the international institutions and mechanisms by several means and this would benefit both sides of the society one who can aid and one who needs aid. Society has always needed cooperation and cooperation can be built only when people are aware of the institutions that connect these nations serving as a helping hand, a connector and playing a major role in keeping global cooperation intact. The institutions need better cooperation from societies and not just their representatives, the governments. This can also lead to the establishment of a strong, direct link between societies and institutions. Which can maximise the impact of international organizations.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yogeesh R S grew up in a small conservative temple town of chidambaram, a place that hosts world's third largest temple and a serene sea with picturesque sunrises. His teachers summarise hus school life as Disciplined, Diligent, Respectful, Creative, Ambitious, Hardworking and Destined... All words were good to hear but the word destined made him think. He thought till he understood that he should understand the very purpose of his existence. He started searching for answers. He started questioning everything, he went into a deep philosophical search. He understood that the aim is not to think about the end but to do the work perfectly. In that process He got into one of the India's top law schools (GNLU). Later, He understood that diplomat is what he is destined for and should work for it... But.. the story doesn't end there. He starts to think on being an effective diplomat than just being another diplomat, to serve the society meaningfully in all manner possible, but how? He started looking for avenues to expand his understanding of the international society, his hunger made him find MCN and pushed him to work more on international law. Today here he stands with an even more passion towards serving through diplomacy and a hunger to learn more and more...
