" I believe diversity is beauty, and by embracing and nurturing it, we can make the world a better, more inclusive place. Protecting vulnerable species and preserving cultural heritage aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and through the Millennium Fellowship, I hope to be a role model for women in my community—showing that they can achieve more and lead change—while turning this belief into action. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Shobdo shikor
Shobdo Shikor aims to document idioms from the elders of Chandpur to preserve the linguistic and cultural heritage that is fading. By conducting interviews and recording their stories, Shobdo Shikor will create a collection that reflects the richness of our regional language, knowledge, and traditions.
Measurable Goals (Aug–Dec 2025):
1. Interview 30 to 50 elderly people of Chandpur.
2. Collect and document 200+ idioms, including meanings and usage examples.
3. Create a digital booklet or paper that can be shared with schools, libraries, or cultural organisations.
4. Conduct 2-3 community or online presentations to raise awareness about the importance of linguistic preservation.
