Millennium Fellowship Project: PACK IT
Pack It is a sustainability project led by the Mellinnuim Fellows class of 2025 on campus to tackle the waste generated during moving. It encourages individuals to reuse materials, reduce package waste and donate unwanted items. From September to November, the project aims to engage +100 people through campaigns and divert measurable amounts of waste from landfills.
About the Millennium Fellow
Shimaa Adel is an ambitious industrial design student at Helwan University, Faculty of Applied Arts, in Cairo, Egypt. She is passionate about sustainable design, environmental solutions, and social impact. Shimaa has worked on projects tackling waste management, renewable energy, and eco-friendly packaging, combining creativity with functionality to address real-world challenges. She is also active in leadership and community initiatives, striving to inspire others toward positive change. With a strong academic record and a growing interest in entrepreneurship, Shimaa aims to integrate sustainability and social innovation into her future career path.
