United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SAFE MOTHER, SAFE BABY

SAFE MOTHER, SAFE BABY project is a project that aims to improve maternal and child health . it is a project that educates a woman of reproductive age on matters pertaining childbirth and care after giving birth. i believe that educating a mother about her health and well being largely contributes to the health of a child ultimately resulting to a healthier community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gladness Oscar Ndemo is a smart, young, and aspiring medical student at Kairuki University in Tanzania. Originally from the Iringa Region, she now resides in Dar es Salaam. Since childhood, Gladness has been an enthusiastic community advocate, focusing on cancer prevention, preventing HIV/AIDS transmission from mother to child, and environmental conservation. Throughout her college years, she has participated in various outreach and charity programs. Gladness seeks a professional role that allows her to apply her advocacy skills to create a positive community impact. Her goal is to align her efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to contribute to global sustainability.
