Millennium Fellowship Project: Together Against Cervical Cancer
A project which I will be pairing up with Millennium Fellows Cedric Mangilo and Hyacintha from University of Kairuki Cohort B
Which is a project under Rotaract kairuki that's still under implementation phase. Which focuses on raising awareness about cervical cancer and empowering the community on doing cervical cancer screening at their nearest health facility as a way to eradicate cervical cancer as a public health concern by 2030 support the WHO goals.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sonia Nada Edward Sokoine is a Tanzanian medical student at Kairuki University, passionate about integrating healthcare and education to build stronger communities. Beginning her studies in Cuba and continuing at leading Tanzanian hospitals, she has developed expertise in patient-centered, evidence-based care. As Project Manager of the Kairuki University Rotaract Club 23/24, Sonia led Rotaract Serves, empowering underprivileged children—especially girls—through literacy programs, mentorship, and resource drives. Her internationally recognized research in palliative care and presentations at global conferences reflect her vision to combine medical excellence with culturally sensitive approaches to public health in pursuit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
