" I am driven by a profound belief in education as a force for equity—a conviction shaped by teaching coding in Xinjiang and witnessing a young girl gain confidence through creating her first game. This commitment fuels my work with Dyslexia Lens, where we bridge understanding gaps and provide learning tools for dyslexic individuals. As a Millennium Fellow, I aim to use this platform to scale our impact, advance UN SDGs 4 and 10, and ensure no learner is left behind. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Dyslexia Lens

Our project, Dyslexia Lens, is all about helping people better understand dyslexia and supporting those who experience it. Many people don't realize what it's like to live with dyslexia, so we're working to bridge that gap. We plan to organize workshops in Hong Kong in 2026 to teach more people about dyslexia—what it is, how it feels, and how we can be more supportive. Most importantly, we have created a mobile app called Dyslexia Lens during the fellowship. The app allows users to experience what reading is like for someone with dyslexia and provides practical help by scanning everyday text and turning it into fonts that are easier for dyslexic readers to understand. Our goal is to raise awareness and make life a little easier for people with dyslexia.
