" My work is driven by my brother's struggle with ADHD, a journey that showed me how easily brilliant minds are discouraged by one-size-fits-all education. I am building the support system I wish he had, proving that learning differently is a pathway, not a barrier. I am excited to join the Millennium Fellowship to connect with a global community and scale this mission, ensuring every student, regardless of their neurotype, is empowered to thrive. This is about restoring confidence and championing an education system where no one is left behind. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: ADHD Students' English Learning Support
I'm running a support program on campus to help students with ADHD succeed in their English learning journey. Think of it as a friendly space where we help students who might have trouble focusing or staying organized in their language studies. What we do: 1) Host weekly meetups where students can learn if they might have ADHD and how it affects their learning 2) Share practical study tricks that work especially well for ADHD minds, like using movement to learn vocabulary or breaking tasks into smaller, manageable chunks 3) Run fun activities that make English learning more engaging (like games, physical activities) 4) Create study groups where students can support each other and share what works for them we've already started helping university students, and we're planning to reach out to high school students too. These strategies don't just help with English - they work for other subjects too! We're building a community where students understand that having ADHD doesn't mean they can't be great at languages - they just need the right tools and support.!
