" I cannot understate the importance of increasing accessibility to research and publishing for undergraduates. TRACES grants fledgeling academics the opportunity to engage in cross disciplinary research, share their work in a supportive environment, and networking . Consequently students gain invaluable experience that allow them to better negotiate the difficulties that come when they truly enter academia. "

About the Millennium Fellow
Darren D. Guan is a psychology and neuroscience student studying at the University of Hong Kong. As he progressed through his degree, he became acutely aware of the struggles other peers had with having their research seen or recognized in the academically competitive environment he was born and raised in. He hopes that the Millennium Fellowship project he is collaborating becomes provides opportunities for all undergraduates to further themselves in academia, without experiencing the barriers to research and publishing that often hold them back.
