Millennium Fellowship Project: Transdisciplinary Academic Conference for Emerging Scholars 2025

The Transdisciplinary Academic Conference for Emerging Scholars (TRACES) is a unique, student-centered conference dedicated to igniting a passion for undergraduate research -- a group often undermined and overlooked in academia. Traditionally, the creative ideas and research topics developed by undergraduates are hardly taken note of by notable publishers and recognised conferences, with the majority of academic undergraduate conferences open only to scholarship recipients or holders of rare fellowship opportunities. TRACES is designed specifically with underrepresented undergraduate students in mind, offering them a supportive, high-impact platform to grow as scholars, connect with peers and mentors, and begin their journey in academic research. It offers valuable presentation and publishing opportunities, as well as informative free workshops to guide applicants step by step in their research. Guided by our free workshops, students compile and submit an abstract followed by a formal presentation of their research. Accepted abstracts are published in the TRACES Conference Proceedings, which are shared at the event, and presenters will also submit a full manuscript to be published in the TRACES Chronicle with official ISBN registrations (open access). Beyond research opportunities, TRACES supports students in building valuable presentation skills, expanding their professional network, and connecting with experienced academics and peers.
