" I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow as it is an opportunity to develop as a leader and make a difference in my community. I have always been passionate about public health, and I am sure that the foundation of health equity lies in awareness, education, and sustainable action. I aspire to meet like minded change makers across the globe through the Fellowship, interact with them, and learn design skills to build impactful initiatives. This is not merely a process of responding to adversity but rather empowering communities to flourish and have others believe in a brighter, healthier, more equitable future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The SDGs Force: From Ideas To Impact

The SDG Force: From Ideas to Impact is a multi-phase community initiative designed to transform innovative ideas into meaningful action. The project focused on key Sustainable Development Goals—primarily SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). In the first phase, we collaborated with the Federal Directorate of Immunization to promote the national HPV vaccination campaign. The second phase addressed maternal and child health by raising awareness about antenatal care, safe delivery, and early childhood well-being. In the third phase, we worked on improving child nutrition through education on healthy feeding practices and growth monitoring. In the final phase, we aim to promote child protection awareness, focusing on safety, rights, and prevention of abuse. Together, these phases reflect our commitment to improving community health, empowering women and children, and contributing to long-term sustainable development.
