" I look forward to being a Millennium Fellow because I think it will sharpen my
competencies with opportunities for professional mentoring, international peer
networking, and leadership enhancement. The Fellowship will provide me with best
practices in public health programs that will fortify my foundation for a future long term career in public health advocacy and policy-making. I am also looking forward to
working together, learning, and contributing substantially towards the promotion of sustainable development goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The SDGs Force: From Ideas To Impact
The SDG Force: From Ideas to Impact is a multi-phase community initiative designed to transform innovative ideas into meaningful action. The project focused on key Sustainable Development Goals—primarily SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). In the first phase, we collaborated with the Federal Directorate of Immunization to promote the national HPV vaccination campaign. The second phase addressed maternal and child health by raising awareness about antenatal care, safe delivery, and early childhood well-being. In the third phase, we worked on improving child nutrition through education on healthy feeding practices and growth monitoring. In the final phase, we aim to promote child protection awareness, focusing on safety, rights, and prevention of abuse. Together, these phases reflect our commitment to improving community health, empowering women and children, and contributing to long-term sustainable development.
