" The most important part of my Public Health passion is collaboration and community-based action. Through the collaboration in the polio eradication program with the WHO to supporting a project on suicide prevention through mental health, I have witnessed and experienced the ability of collective action to make a difference in people lives. As a Millennium Fellow, I will enhance my capacities, embrace the chance of networking with international change agents, and align my engagements with the SDGs. I am eager to increase my influence in the field of health promotion, nutrition, and mental well-being by means of shared learning and creative solutions. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The SDGs Force: From Ideas To Impact

The SDG Force: From Ideas to Impact is a multi-phase community initiative designed to transform innovative ideas into meaningful action. The project focused on key Sustainable Development Goals—primarily SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). In the first phase, we collaborated with the Federal Directorate of Immunization to promote the national HPV vaccination campaign. The second phase addressed maternal and child health by raising awareness about antenatal care, safe delivery, and early childhood well-being. In the third phase, we worked on improving child nutrition through education on healthy feeding practices and growth monitoring. In the final phase, we aim to promote child protection awareness, focusing on safety, rights, and prevention of abuse. Together, these phases reflect our commitment to improving community health, empowering women and children, and contributing to long-term sustainable development.
