Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Agriculture and Nutritious Food
Our project focuses on promoting sustainable agriculture practices and ensuring access to nutritious food within local communities in Northern Bangladesh. By engaging farmers, students, and households, we aim to reduce food insecurity, raise awareness about nutrition and encourage eco-friendly farming methods. The initiative seeks to build a bridge between agriculture and community health, aligning with Zero Hunger (SDG 2) while supporting sustainable farming, responsible food consumption.
About the Millennium Fellow
Md. Abdullah Al Moinuddin Rabbi is a fourth-year student studying Agriculture at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Bangladesh. He’s super into plants, bugs, and finding ways to grow food sustainably to help tackle big issues like hunger and climate change. His love for learning and problem-solving pushes him to work on projects that make a difference, like his "SustainaStudents" initiative, where he’s exploring how students can live greener lives.
Outside the classroom, Rabbi has picked up some cool skills. He joined an 11-day Skill Marathon with BYSDO, improving his skills in public speaking and writing. He also took a course on making data look clear and sharp using Excel, which he finds pretty handy. When he’s not studying or working on projects, you might catch him playing chess, which keeps his mind sharp, or planting trees with local groups to help the environment.
Rabbi speaks Bengali and English fluently and loves connecting with people. As a Millennium Fellow, he’s excited to team up with others, share ideas, and work on projects that make the world a better, more sustainable place.
