United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Steps toward Climate Resilience

"Steps toward Climate Resilience" is a group project led by Olia Parvin Happy and other project members. The project is dedicated to promoting climate awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within the community. By planting and distributing trees, sharing informative leaflets, and organizing awareness sessions, the team aims to inspire people to take small but impactful actions for a greener and more resilient future.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), "Steps toward Climate Resilience" will:
Plant and distribute at least 200 trees across the community.
Organize 2–3 awareness sessions on climate resilience and sustainability.
Distribute 500 informative leaflets to raise awareness on eco-friendly practices.
Directly engage 400+ individuals through events and outreach initiatives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Most. Olia Parvin Happy is a passionate agriculture student at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. Rooted in Bangladesh’s rich agricultural heritage, she leads with empathy and scientific curiosity—volunteering with Red Crescent and Green Voice to promote environmental awareness and career development. Through creative communication and resilient leadership, Olia aspire to do something that helps in mental health of people. Olia’s multilingual fluency in Bengali, English, and Hindi allows her to connect across cultures and advocate for inclusive education. Resilient and reflective, she views challenges as opportunities for growth. Through the Millennium Fellowship, Olia seeks to amplify her impact—mental health awareness among people.
