" My commitment to creating meaningful social impact is driven by adaptability, critical thinking, and a deep sense of responsibility toward my community. I am eager to join the Millennium Fellowship because I believe it will provide invaluable learning opportunities and experiences to strengthen my planned project on sustainable agriculture and nutritious food. This fellowship will not only help me advance my goals but also cultivate my leadership skills, empowering me to create lasting, positive change in my community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Agriculture and Nutritious Food

My project, "Sustainable Agriculture and Nutritious Food,"aims to raise awareness about healthy foods and sustainable agriculture. It focuses on teaching school students and their parents in the Basherhaat area of Dinajpur about healthy eating, eco-friendly farming and sustainable agriculture. I will work with the students of Hajee Mohammad Danesh High School to help them learn about nutritious foods like eggs, lentils, vegetables, bananas, small fish, and understand their nutritional value. I will also teach them how to keep food healthy during cooking and storage. At the same time, I will talk to their parents many of whom are farmers about simple and sustainable farming methods.Such as using compost and organic manures, protecting soil health, water conservation techniques, using fewer chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Thus both children and parents can learn and share ideas at home and in the field. My university’s volunteer group, HSTU Mojar School, will help me carry out this project.
