Institute of Business Administration Karachi | Karachi, Pakistan | Advancing SDG 6, SDG 13 & UNAI 3

" Working with the Millennium Fellowship will provide me with a platform to bring light to issues in Karachi that often go unnoticed. Lack of relevant frameworks makes us undermine the severity of climate change, thus, reducing efforts to mitigate the harm. Working with the Millennium Fellowship would ensure i bring forth the issues that actually matter. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Zero Waste Drain Initiative
Zero Waste Drain Initiative aims to revive Karachi’s drains and transform them into clean, non-polluted water bodies that flow into the city’s rivers and eventually the Arabian Sea. The project primarily serves residents living near drains who suffer from foul odors and overflowing black water.
Initially focused on agriculture, the project shifted to water management, leveraging prior experience in the field. Key achievements include connecting with relevant stakeholders and developing strategies to keep drains free of solid waste, turning them into thriving, sustainable water systems.
