" I believe that my commitment to tackling poverty and food insecurity increases the burning desire inside me for community service. Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will provide me with a platform to augment my impact while also gaining experience from global change makers, which will align my initiatives more closely with UN SDGs. Lastly, I am eager to develop sustainable and long-lasting solutions that can benefit the local community as a whole and to leave a meaningful change for generations to come. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Feed Karachi

This is a charitable initiative that 3 of my friends and i took 6 years ago which involved providing essential food, clothing and also blankets during cold months to the underprivileged people of Karachi by carrying out weekly ration drives in order to address hunger and homelessness in Karachi. To date this initiative has been very successful with more than 500 meals and necessities being provided to the impovershed community of Karachi As the project leader, i have overseen all prospects of this program, from fundrising to logistics and have also collaborated with local charitable organizations like Hamdard Haath. Furthermore, i also manage all awareness campaigns and outreach efforts in order to bring more people to this great cause. Not only does this help individuals that require immediate need but it also increases awareness about the issues of homelessness and poverty in karachi During this year, especially during the month of Ramadan, we received an overhelming amount of support via donations both from Pakistan and from abroad which really aided in our cause and helped us to carry out daily ration drives during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
