ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Protect the girl child

The project focused on educating girls in primary and secondary schools on sex education. This includes letting them know what their private parts are, how to protect themselves, speaking up on sexual harassment and also teaching boys to maintain boundaries and protect girls. The project was able to cover 2 primary and secondary to schools and reached 200 girls

About the Millennium Fellow

Odewole Adesewa Treasure is a young, smart and goal-oriented senior year student at the University of Ibadan. She was born in Abeokuta, Ogun state, resides in Ibadan, Oyo state for studies. She is currently studying Communication and Language Arts and has her major in marketing and advertising. Adesewa is a passionate advocate against sexual abuse, molestation and for menstrual hygiene. This is as a result of her own experiences and that of close friends. She likes to impact the younger generation. This she does through tutoring and by engaging them. She would like to further reach them and provide her own contribution in the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals. She believes the Millennium Fellowship is the right platform and stepping stone for this.
