Millennium Fellowship Project: Plastic connect

Plastic Connect is a grassroots initiative led by Millennium Fellow Adedara Gbemisola that champions climate action through early education. The project focuses on primary schools, aiming to teach children about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their role in protecting the planet. Plastic Connect goes beyond the classroom by organizing practical clean-up exercises, allowing students to actively contribute to a cleaner environment. To encourage participation and support academic growth, the initiative rewards students with stationery and donates teaching supplies, such as markers, to the schools. Plastic Connect is dedicated to fostering a lasting culture of environmental stewardship through continued education and sanitation drives.
