" Anyone can give to the world, it is all about discovering what is within and be ready to refine it to better serve the world. I believe the Millennium Fellowship will help me refine my skills better and also help me discover more to better serve the world. I am excited to better contribute to the SDGs and explore more of how I can contribute. I know Millennium Fellowship is here to push me to make that impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Amplify
I lead a team of eight people for this project, the first phase was research work. The team comprises members from different fields, and so we made research in different fields, like about indigent women. The next phase was partnering with the Women's Law Clinic University of Ibadan for an outreach, since their Publicity team makes awareness to students on campus about justice for indigent women, I thought it would be better to make awareness to the indigent women themselves. However, the clinic was skeptical about this initially because of their capacity. But, we reached a consensus that the outreach should be only to 20 women and not more than that. I made flyers for 20 women with the description of the clinic, since the clinic insisted that the description was enough and there was no need for the contact number of the clinic. The outreach was to the Abadina community, a community around the university of Ibadan. The phase one research helped in identifying the women to reach out to.
